Precambrian Erratic

Photos by Alan L Brown - Posted May, 2010

In front of the Leaside Branch of the Toronto Public Library on McRae Drive is a rock. The accompanying plaque has this to say:
Coordinates: 43.706298 -79.367847 |
![]() |
This Precambrian erratic was slowly transported to the Leaside area by a glacier more than 10,000 years ago. It was uncovered about one block north of the library when new gas lines were being installed in 2002.
