While doing an internet search on my grandfather, John Harry Osterhout, I came across this item on the Osterhout Log Cabin. I know that my grandfather was born in 1876 in Northwood in the county of Kent. He graduated from Chatham Collegiate in 1897 and the University of Toronto in 1900.
I did not know this historic site existed and if William Osterhout is a direct relation to me but it gives me another piece of the historical puzzle to work on.
Thank you for posting this item.
