On the right side of the centre door at the Automotive Building (now the Allstream Centre) just west of the Princes' Gates at Exhibition Place is this plaque. Here's what it says (transcription by contributor Bruce McClure):

Coordinates: 43.63422 -79.41074

In honour of the men and the women who entered Canada's naval service through HMCS York and fought the Battle of the Atlantic 1939-1945

The Automotive Building was the site of Toronto's naval reserve division during the Second World War

"Those that go down to the sea in ships"
